Role Models on the Road is a legacy program where Black entrepreneurs across Nova Scotia speak to youth in schools, community groups, and other youth-centered programs. Role Models runs annually from October to June.

The program promotes awareness about entrepreneurship while focusing on the importance of education. Each panelist volunteers their time to speaking to youth about their career path and what their work entails. Role models also offer words of advice and guidance about the importance of staying in school, setting goals and pursuing entrepreneurship.

BIJ’s outreach emphasis and objectives are to encourage youth to stay in school, learn the importance of education and to introduce them to entrepreneurship as a viable career choice.
