BIJ’s Impact

Through educational programs, mentorship, networking opportunities, and financial support, we help youth build business knowledge and leadership skills. Over the past decade, we have inspired thousands of participants to stay in school, launch their own businesses, and bring strong professionalism to the workplace.

Business is Jammin’ plays an important role in both the Black community and Nova Scotia’s economy. In the last two years, participation in our programs has grown by more than 60 percent, and we expect that growth to continue as we respond to the Now or Never: One Nova Scotia report.

We see a future where participants proudly list Business is Jammin’ on their resumes, business loan applications, and speaking profiles. Our goal is to be the leading organization supporting and mentoring Black youth to become successful and in-demand leaders in the business world.
